About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Social Media Head to lead our digital content strategy and oversee the management of our social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing engaging content, growing our social media presence, and driving online engagement and traffic.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the company's goals and target audience.
- Oversee the planning, creation, and scheduling of content across all platforms.
- Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive.
2. Content Creation & Management:
- Lead the content creation process for various platforms, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia formats.
- Work closely with the creative and editorial teams to generate engaging, shareable content.
- Manage the company's YouTube channels, ensuring optimized content for growth and engagement.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all platforms.
3. Community Engagement:
- Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers across social media platforms to build strong relationships and a loyal audience.
- Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, understand audience behavior, and refine strategies.
4. Platform Growth & Optimisation:
- Drive growth in followers, engagement rates, and traffic to the company's digital platforms.
- Implement SEO strategies for social media and YouTube content to enhance discoverability.
- Collaborate with influencers, partners, and other media outlets to boost reach and engagement.
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Use analytics tools to track performance metrics such as engagement, reach, impressions, and conversions.
- Report on the effectiveness of social media efforts, making data-driven decisions to improve results.
6. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the social media team to ensure effective collaboration and output.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and partners to produce high-quality content.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in social media management, especially for media or content-driven companies.
- Expertise in managing YouTube channels and other major platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and social media analytics.
- Creative mindset with excellent storytelling and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
