Job Description: General Manager – Distribution and Alliances/Content Syndication (Blockchain Technology Platform)
Position Overview:
The General Manager – Distribution and Alliances/Content Syndication will be responsible for developing and managing partnerships with ISPs, Pay TV operators, and mobile telecom companies across India. This role is crucial for driving subscriptions, creating innovative collaboration strategies, and ensuring a smooth product rollout. The GM will also manage key relationships with e-commerce platforms, loyalty programs, smart TV manufacturers, and mobile OEMs to enhance distribution channels and subscription growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnership Management:
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with ISPs, Pay TV operators, and mobile telecom companies in India.
- Identify new partnership opportunities to drive subscription growth and content syndication.
- Collaborate with e-commerce and loyalty companies to increase subscription channels.
2. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the tech, product, and marketing teams to innovate new methods for driving subscriptions.
- Coordinate with multi-functional departments to align goals and ensure customer/client satisfaction.
- Lead internal teams to close paperwork, agreements, and ensure the successful rollout of products.
3. Subscription Growth Strategies:
- Manage relationships with smart TV manufacturers and mobile OEMs to explore new, innovative ways to drive subscriptions.
- Create and implement effective distribution strategies to ensure maximum reach and subscriber engagement.
4. Alliance Development:
- Establish and manage long-term alliances that benefit both the company and its partners.
- Develop and manage new content syndication deals to distribute content across various platforms.
5. Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to create effective strategies for partnership and distribution.
- Provide regular reports on partnership performance and subscription growth to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in managing partnerships, content syndication, or distribution, preferably in the technology, telecom, or media industries.
- Proven track record in building successful partnerships with ISPs, Pay TV operators, telecom companies, and smart TV/mobile OEMs.
- Strong understanding of the Indian market landscape, especially in subscription-based services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in blockchain technology or content syndication platforms is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with an innovative approach to partnership and distribution growth.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data to inform business strategies.
